Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Red spinel from Sri Lanka. Not as aggressive red as some Burmese spinels but working on it. Excellent alternative to a mild colored ruby. Some bubbles may be visible to the eye when light falls in from the back. Not flashy yet very visible color. Bargain for this increasingly costly variety. Similar red spinels from Burma have long gone beyond 1k/carat and no end in sight.
