Comment: Romantic red spinel in a deep rich red typical for Ceylon spinel. Not a neon or electric hue but an earthy blood-like red. Bisected with fine silky needles the gem creates a fuzzy image under magnification but this is not visible to the unaided eye. If you have followed the prices of red spinels over the last years you will know that this is a value deal. Absolutely symmetric in shape, which is, one must admit, is rare in hand cut heart shapes.
