Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Red-red just-a-point in tone ruby crossing the more expensive one carat line. Inclusions are visible only under the lens. Some liked to call this pigeon-blood but as explained elsewhere that is a watered down expression (anyways, here it is: pure red with a minimum of violet, no brown, no pink and not too dark). Full luster as it is difficult to find in ruby. Good rubies from Madagascar, such as this one, offer a great alternative to the classic Burmese gems without much compromises.
