Comment: Here is the rarest of all green garnets, called demantoid with respect to its strong dispersion (in fact higher than that of diamond) and thus outstanding luster. Commonly (no cheaply) this stone comes from the Ural regions of Russia, but is also found further south in the legendary Badakshan. This highest quality distinguishes itself by the most unique "needelish" inclusions (horsetails), separating it from the less valuable stones of Namibia. Rare above 1 carat and seldom found in this clarity. Freshest green (not metallic venomous green as e.g. tsavorite) but a natural green with energetic sparkles of lemon yellow in it. One of the rarest stones in the gem world.
