Comment: We took another leap and asked Peter Torraca to re-cut one of our old time sapphires which had a bit of a window and some belly to trim. Down from 3.3 carat we arrived at this perfectly flashy 2.15 master-cut unheated sapphire. Hardly any inclusions even under the lens (which can not be credited to Peter but all else: Great job!). There are not many, if any, perfect sapphires out there, hence our price is as far from shy as the gem is from mundane. We couldn't wait to publish this one, so it still has to go to GIA for a fresh post-recut certificate. Not unlikely the most expensive loose sapphire in this weight class and not unlikely the best cut too.
