Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Mark the dimensions of this ruby: 7.6 by 5.2 mm. This means, while paying one carat you get the magic spin of a two carat stone. Normally, this screams window, but not here. This 1.01 is so evenly and deeply colored that the shallow center (only 50% depth) is impregnably bright red only - no see-through-window at all. Given an uneven flat crystal as rough the cutter has done a great job keeping the color in the stone and the face even and symmetric. Inclusions visible only under the lens. Great value deal in a fat-red unheated and huge face-up ruby. Request free GIA certificate if you are in no hurry.
