Comment: Above 2 carat the air for unheated rubies is getting very thin. We don't see much gem-quality ruby above 3 carats at all, let alone in round shape. Hence this 3.1 carat comes to us not for being perfect but because it is such a rare size and shape. Some, barely visible, inclusions and a pinkish purple secondary hue make it very affordable. Big face, but no window. Better than image. Solid value. Such a rarity will always retain its market. Good sparkle in all light settings. No black-outs. Only one inclusion is visible with the unaided eye (see image) but only with light falling in from the side. We offer additional GIA certificates free of charge on this gem if requested.
