Comment: Finally a Mahenge spinel over one carat. Though the rough was shallow the cutter made a good job avoiding a window but it is not 100% closed in the center of the triangle (as the image shows). If you can navigate this little imperfection you can get yourself a bargain deal on this terrific color. One feather (actually it looks exactly like a feather) is visible only under the lens. Good crystal, good luster, shocking color. Bargain for this size in one of the most famous spinels of all times.
