Comment: This certified cobalt spinel was precision cut in Germany from 8.51 carat. The day-light blue is a deep classic Ultramarine. In mixed light settings the gem throws purple and violet into the mix. Often hiding its colors on the dark side of MD80, one needs to appreciate a dark tone here and will be rewarded with surprising color flashes and brilliancy in good light and magic in sun. No inclusions visible to the eye, even under the lens hardly visible. See the before-images, the model cut synthetic spinel and the end results in the big images.
