Comment: The Czar of color change: Alexandrite with a certified "strong color change" from green to red. Fine ivy green at day melting to a rich Bordeaux red at night. Typical for good alexandrite is the ability to display both colors in a sparkling firework when viewed under mixed lights (main photo). Exceptional clean stone - only the lens reveals some minor inclusions and this only to the trained eye. The depth of the stone is strengthened by an excellent lucid crystal. Ideally shaped to center a kingly jewel. This is the only Alexandrite of significant size and quality that we have seen in Sri Lanka in the last two years. Priced at 8.500/carat this is a rock solid investment into one of the rarest and most sought after collector gems. See additional photos. Please contact us for details.
