Describtion and comment by the artist:

"My art work contains objects that might seem familiar.  The viewer must use their own mind and imagination to discover their own meaning of my art work.  Perhaps that is the way it should be.  However, I have been asked to by the new owner to write down the meaning I meant to convey in my work of art.

The art is about life and your journey through life.

The title is "INCOMPLETE GEMS OF LIFE".

The Gold and Diamonds are to remind you of how precious life is.

The rough Sapphires, Rubies and other rough Precious Gemstones are to remind you that life will not always be as smooth as the mirror.  You will have bumps and rough times on your journey through life.  But the Sun will always give you light and warmth.

The Crescent Moon with the five stars tells you that God not only created the world you live in, but also the vast Universe and all that is there.  The Cats Eye reminds you that on your journey through life you will never be alone.

The colors at the top of the cloud are for the beautiful times in your life.  The cloud also holds darkness where the light and beauty in your life will seem to diminish.  But the Gold lining at the bottom of the cloud reminds you that this darkness will pass and you will once again have light and beauty in your life.

The rain that falls from the cloud forms snow and ice on the top of the mountain to hold the water that flows into the Green area of the mountain.  The Green area of the mountain reminds you that life is always continuing to renew itself.  Just as when Nature takes the light and warmth from the sun and the water from the snow and ice to make plants grow again.  The Triangle you see in the mountain will give you the energy and endurance you will need throughout life.

When the mountain stream flows into the Golden River of Life, your life will begin.  Your journey down the River of Life will not be smooth and you will make many stops as the River make its twists and turns. Finally the River of Life will flow into the Sea of Darkness and your journey through life will end.

However, your Spirit will enter the Sea of Darkness and will be carried by the waves to a Golden Path of Light.  There your Spirit will merge with the Golden Path and you will ascend to a new beginning.

My art work is incomplete until you see the reflection of your eyes in the mirror.  When you see the reflection of your eyes you will have completed my art work, because your eyes are the most precious gems of all."
