Overall Grade: Good

Comment: Marquise cuts produce big face dimensions (8x4mm with only 63 points) but tend to window. However, a marquise window often does little harm as it remains hidden to the eye. In a high setting like this (with empty space behind the gem) it does not show at all, as you can see in the front image below. Regarding color, this sapphire exhibits only the faintest violet or blue, like the visible but undefinable blue of cold water. The gems comes with a full AIGS 'no-heat' card, no visible inclusions, set into a 14k white gold pendant, ready to slip on your chain and around your neck in 72 hours (with UPS upgrade). It, too, buys nature another 1000 sqm of protected rainforest. Small but attention grabbing. Be prepared for questions and compliments. Bargain.
