Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: This is a sapphire for the collector or a highly individual design. Spending some time with this gem brings out: Steel blue, marine green-blue, storm cloud gray, silky purple, smoky yellow, sky blue, grass green, metallic green, hay green and much I can't name. The crystal is dense, cold and hard with a yellow silky patch in one corner. Definitely not your every-day sapphire. Even for boiled pros this is a speciality (the kind of sapphire I personally would wear as jewelry). You will never stop marveling at the variations and combinations of tones and hues this gem produces. Its luster jumps in one leap from left to right, brightening the tone into more blue. As always with us, certified unheated. Precision cut, no visible inclusions, no window, seriously big (the original stone, pre-re-cut, was closer to 10 carat). 12x8mm will need ring sizes over 10, or a pendant.
