Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: This is a sapphire for the collector. It is a multicolor stone (green-blue), but also a color shifter, changing both colors under different light sources (purple-yellow). Spending some time with this gem brings out: Steel blue, marine green-blue, storm cloud gray, silky purple, smoky yellow, sky blue, grass green, metallic green, hay green and much I can't name. The overall tone is dense, hard and dark. Definitely not your every-day sapphire. Even for boiled pros this is a speciality (the kind of sapphire I personally would wear as jewelry). You will never stop marveling at the variations and combinations of tones and hues this gem produces. As always with us, certified unheated. Precision cut, no visible inclusions, no window, seriously big (though the original stone, pre-re-cut, was closer to 10 carat hence it can't be cheap).
