Overall Grade: Good

Comment: Deep pink sapphire with strong purple and violet undertone. The silky crystal is a typical occurrence in Ceylon corundum which, if heated, would melt and probably take out some violet. Here is the gem as mother (or father)-earth has made it. In low light moving close to pink ruby. Always better than images. Inclusions (silk) are visible only under the lens and our merciless camera. Such gems rarely reach the market because somebody would have burned the silk away long ago and sell it as hot-pink, but here we are. No window, big face. Local handcut, simple but flawless. Great value in full colored pink sapphire.
