Comment: With a "Medium Dark 80" this tourmaline displays an unusual deep tone (in this orange variety). The main image captures the charming hue in good light: a glowing warm orange, like polished copper mixed with 22k gold; plus a lucid and liquid crystal. Compare the handshot to see why it is 'MD80'. However, the gem is never, ever black even under low candle-light, I tried (actually it shows some amazing sparkles if there are a few good candles). No inclusions even under the lens. Flawless and precise hand-cut. DSEF certified and untreated. Almost square emerald shape with good dimensions and depth. Another example of how much beauty can be found outside the standard colours. Full ring size, but also suitable for petite pendant. As often with this type of tourmaline (or any good natural gem, for that matter) you will see new colours and tones every time you examine it. Great value at a moderate price.
