Comment: As the prominent ring in the original DJC video, this ruby has gotten the attention of a demanding prima-donna and immediately took up the chance to make problems befitting an opera star wherever it/she could, which is why we published it so late: Squeezed photos, deleted videos, errors in reports (wrong metals), etc. we had our fair share of trouble. You, on the other hand, may ignore all these mundane issues and enjoy the delicate yet impressive setting worthy of the center gem. Every little detail has been lovingly thought-through, optimized and crafted by the world's best goldsmiths in London. Note, for example, that this ruby is not really heart-shaped, but a rounded trillion which reduces the risk of breakage (compared to heart-cuts), saves some weight, and, most importantly, produces a container-load more luster and fire. True heart-cuts are, in fact, a heart-ache for lapidaries. Yet, people want them. Here is a smart way to square the circle: A trillion-cut set so as to give the impression of a heart-shaped stone. This was achieved by little details such as the lower prong itself being fashioned in a heart-shape and the extra space used to push out the diamond on the lower tip. The eleven brilliants were choosen in best D and E colors to seperate their white glitter from the red purity of the ruby. All-in-all, for David's tool box, a simple design focused on the center stone while surrounded by clever perfection.

Comment: Deep pure red Burma Ruby, with no brown, pink, or purple, nothing but dense red plus violet on a sunny day -the equivalent to Kashmir Blue in sapphire- which will get a 'pigeon blood' from GRS. Inclusions are visible only under the lens, and as you can see in our tell-all close-up images even under 36fold magnification you wonder where those inclusions are. Extraordinary high brilliancy ... for a heart shape which it isn't though the setting gets it there; see above..., rather it is the best luster of a trillion cut. Double 'no-heat' report and twice 'Burma'. As all our gems and jewelry, it buys rainforest for eternal protection and helps in the fight to secure legal rights for animals.
