Comment: It has been a while since our last jades. They are a fascinating world to themselves, offering a life-long learning experience (within just one gem-variety!). The very best imperial jades are the stuff of royal, or rather the emperor, dreams. China has been the traditional market for jade, with its own geek language and a depth of knowledge, connoisseurship and many passionate collectors rivaling those of fine ruby and emeralds. These two cabochons are so called 'Grade A Jade' (100% untreated Jadeite) even if their color is NOT imperial green but moss green (without white inclusions which would then be called 'moss-in-snow jade'). The handshot shows the color 100% as in person. The other images show you texture and transparency (two more value factors in jade, aside color) rather than color. Both have a translucent body (almost see-through quality against light-source). Please picture the color of the hand-shot with the body quality of the surface images. This pair will make fine earrings, or could be set in a bracelet or pendant design. One displays a thin dark line which is barely visible to the eye, or only when the gem is held against a light source. The other has a thin green river running through the same area instead. Again, please combine the moss color from the handshot with the transparency and texture of the other pictures. The image on the lab report is also too bright green.
