Comment: Jade is found in many colors, not only green. Here is an example of different colors in one piece. The base is dark yellow-green, as is the tip but with brighter yellow, and in-between we meet grass- but also ivy- and apple-green with streaks of crystals and internal growth. 100% natural Jadeite Jade from Burma, untreated and without any surface impregnation, the so-called Type A Jade. Though not especially high on the (anyways overrated) Mohs' scale, Jade is considered one of the most durable materials on earth. Will make a fine pendant without breaking the bank, and is guaranteed to become an ever scarcer matter with finite supply but almost infinite demand, especially from the over one billion Chinese rising into the middle class over the coming decades.
