Comment: A highly photogenic Ceylon spinel moving between dark blue and purple, hence color-changing, though IGI missed to mention it. Typical for this colorchange or -shift in spinel is the rich color impression it leaves on photo. In person, the gem is more difficult to 'understand', also typical for color-change gems, though most are equally challenging on photo. Not so this spinel. The charming images should not distract you from its discounted price and honest grading. Even a hint of window remained hidden in all images except for the hand-shots (those are closest to WYSIWUG). That given, here is an affordable all-natural color-change spinel in full ringsize and dark but pretty hues. All Medium-Dark 80 gems love light. Storm blue, navy blue, dark mauve, or eggplant are good color references.
