Comment: Rare color strength in Ceylon sapphire, or any unheated sapphire for that matter. Deep vivid pink, moving into red under low light, stretching to become ruby with the fluorescence to match. Not in a perfect shape nor an ideal cut, not very clean either, but still in the top 5% with 3xNo: Inclusions are lens-only, no window, no heat, but color, color and color. Even in this rarified corner of the gem-world a true crown jewel, pun included. The local lab report attest 'no heat' and 'vivid pink'. While everybody loves the big GIA, GRS or AGL reports, their wait-time (nearing 3 months in most cases), not to mention prices and procedures, are becoming a hassle as the gem-buying public demands more and more reports. This is good news, however, for the rarified few 'no heat at all' the necessary high-tech tests for the countless heat-related treatments are not needed. If you have a 'heat-only' sapphire or ruby, many additional treatments might linger behind the heat and you need exhaustive testing by super expensive machines. For a simple 'no-heat', all that's needed is a good microscope and an experienced gemmologist. For this, a small reliable lab is as good as a giant one. Further reports are of course on offer with some time and budget. As for a re-cut: If you are not bothered by the cosmetic one-carat-border, this 1.05 would love a re-cut loosing little face-up-size but it will go under 1.00 carat, perhaps down to 0.75 yet still 6x5mm and even better looking.
