Comment: Untreated sapphire near 2 carats in oval 8x6mm. Depending on light setting either lavender pink or purplish pink, in both cases a mild, yet deeply toned hue with some orange to liven it up. The shape is strictly spoken a cushion but easily appears oval at first sight. No visible inclusions, no window, untreated. Classical 'off-color' chance for an affordable unheated pink in full size. Good value buy at $1250/carat. Local hand-cut without flaws but not a precision-cut. Good luster. Individual beauty for a ring up to size 8. Untreated pinks in two carats have moved up to $10k in the fashionable hues. Here you get your 'own' color, not to be met again, for far less.
