Comment: The extra intense pleochroism of these new, untreated tanzanite or zoisite bring the word 'colorplay' to a new level. As is easily visible on the images, without any enhancements or digital coloring, we get at least three main color at anytime, plus many mixtures and cross overs traveling with motion. There is green, blue, and purple and an endless combination of tone and hues. The overall bright tone, a LM40, makes the whole gem a lively and eye-catching character. Note the sideimage in all-violet, and the back side in all green. In fact, these gems look different on every photo, even from seemingly the same angle, always with new patterns and shapes showing in different colors. Big enough for a ladies ring in size 6.
