Comment: This is no gem for simple color and glitter but a mysterious beauty in darkest blues, midnight greens and tinted blacks. The deep free-form cut produces the most amazing details, dark green and blue lighting luster flashing in a midnight blue sky. See, for example, the two handshot or the two shots on wood with just a millimetre differing angle, and how sparks fly. That said, not an obvious, easy gem. But asking for your time and attention to discover all its beauty (as it should be in highend gems, sapphire does that, too). 3Nos quality. Precision cut. Deepest greens and blues hues available in tourmaline or any gem. The shape demands a creative and able goldsmith. IMO, best set in a high channel dome, ringsizes between 6 and 10. No fast-food-gem.
