Comment: Immediate association from this ring is the wide-open blossom shape; or nature - the master template for all Art Nouveau designs, or Jugendstil. Four prongs hold the amethyst safe but ever so free-floating. Note the convex profile due to the fourteen leaves connected to a lower frame and bend downwards. Each leave carries either a sapphire or a diamond with two prongs. The asymmetric band-split adds to the Judendstil character. Cocktail-ring size but a feather-weight on your finger. Delicate as all such rings, so no digging or boxing, only dining and opera.

Comment: From the fabled Russian mines in Siberia comes this extra clean amethyst in cocktail-ring size. No inclusions under the lens. WGI report with 'no treatment' and origin. The surrounding diamond - pink sapphire - diamond - pink sapphire combination in blossom shape is luxuriously posh, to say the least. Handshot done indoors under a dull London winter-sky.
