Comment: This ring is similar to the one chosen for the main video, and shown in the still below. It is a master-piece of pure Art Deco, wrought from platinum, the most challenging material on earth. The lowest gallery holds one diamond, the second two, three diamonds adorn the third level, and the four steps brings you to a heavenly center gem. Platinum, harder than gold, never dulls, needs no re-polish but only a cleaning in warm soapy water once in a decade. Such a ring can last an eternity. Note, that, though the band is hollowed out and the head build airily, the ring brings eleven grams to the balance. This is because platinum is also much heavier than gold (in gold I estimate this ring would be around 7 grams). Qualified platinum-smiths are the F1-drivers of the jewelry trade (only slower), and those working in the heart of London are always winning. Conjuring up those delicate details by hand in extra hard platinum is a feat in itself.
