Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Made to become a pair of dangeling earrings. These are not imperial topaz but golden 'beryls' (as in 'emerald' or 'aquamarine'). They do however resemble the former in many ways. The light hue and tone allows a fair guess that these are not treated beryls but a natural color. Those we have seen after treatment show a posh, if artificial, color. However, since testing is (currently) not possible and we could not control the path from mine to lab, they are not priced with a premium for non-treatment (and on sale). That said, we would not take them into our stock if we had  significant doubts. Marquise cuts tend to show a window, if only a tilt window. To judge pairs keep an eye on the face-up dimensions. Weight and depth may vary, but length and width should be similar or identical to make good pairs. Of course, hue and tone must be identical, too, as is here the case. Set in either yellow and white gold, these two will make elegant jewels.
