Sandawana emerald with silky crystal in best pure green. Near one carat on the big size for the pedigree. Few inclusions for emerald. Uncommon trillion shape from local hand-cut invites pendant, best in a bezel to protect corners. IGI gave the, for Sandawana but not all emeralds, common grade of 'good color quality'. IGI also states 'transparent' but we prefer to keep this distinction for the likes of 0.19. No window, no inclusions, oil-only. Dark spot in center is not an inclusions but a shadow resulting from the position of facets in the rounded tip. The fact that this shows is an argument for a transparent body. If for a ring, urgently stay with bezel for protection, and under size 8. If highend goldsmith work is available, it could be set with a broad bezel on top of a thin band (for example gem with bezel 12mm over an 8mm band). The silky blue sheen that shows in some images is a camera effect on light backgrounds. In handshot and with darker wood behind the gem, you see it as IRL.
