This gem is not for the perfectionist, but a rare chance to own a full sized Columbian emerald on a tight budget. It came to us in one of those all-or-none parcels and is offered at cost-basis.
Strength: a) intense seafoam green b) face-up size of an 2+ carat gem c) ridiculously cheap d) fascinating inclusions under the lens, a.k.a. 'emerald jardin', e) rare ethereal clean crystal f) no visible color zoning, e) never pale nor dark.
Flaws: a) moderate window b) sometimes eye-visible inclusions c) one chipped edge d) a re-cut would be risky, but with a clever setting the window can be 'hidden' (ask us for ideas).
Remarkably similar in character to this 'ghostly character'.
