Comment: These two emeralds were sorted (by yours humbly) to join in holy matrimony as perfectly matching pairs and went to DSEF to be tested and 'certified' on one report (costing double). To my chagrin, they now refuse to show the same hue for the camera. One has obviously gotten a slightly different dosage of chromium, a quantity so little that the eye doesn't catch it, but enough to confuse the camera. Normally, I would now have separated them, but they are on the same DSEF report, so here they are as a case study and for the bargain-hunter. Promised, in real life (i.r.l.) they show the same rich vivid emerald-green, little blue, not neon but deep green. If you concentrate hard and take the images to help, you can catch the difference with the eye but it is a learning process. Both are eye-clean, no inclusions without lens, in a dense jungle crystal. No window, oil-only, traditional hand-cut. A fine pair for studs or other designs and for sale at an un-matching pair-rate. (We also separate them if you need one single.) Very interesting chromium-typical effect in stubborn emerald. They show matching only in the distanced hand-shot where the camera is distracted by the surrounding skin-color (see 'more images').
