This color/tone combination defines 'vivid green', as little secondary hues as possible, not too dark nor too bright. 'Vivid' green is not equal to 'neon', and though they theoretically do not exclude one-another, 'neon' and 'vivid' does rarely share the same gem because the high chromium content needed for the neon-effect carries too much blue which would make the secondary hue too strong for a 'vivid' classification. Thus, as a buyer, you have the choice to go for the purest green or the shiniest blue-green. Both have their charm, the latter is a flashy gem, the former a noble elegant character with enough visibility (quality is never lacking that) but not the in-your-face style like Paraiba or Hot Pink Mahenge. As always with beryl (emerald is green beryl) and its low density, even 0.76 carat translates into a full-sized 8x5mm face up (without a window). The main images have been taken on a sunny day, therefore please balance the tone with a view of the hand and the sideshot which could be shaded from the bright daylight. IGI reports a transparent Zimbabwe emerald in 'good color quality' - that is top 10% of a sold-out emerald legend. Inclusions are visible only under the lens and those are the white crystalline structures you can detect on our images but not with the 'naked-eye'. Thus making our 3*NOS!
