Comment: Newly permitted into our stock: Oiled emeralds. (Please read here if you want to know why.) As classic as it gets: Pure emerald green in square emerald cut. Just over one carat but already near 6x6mm with no window. As visible on the images, but not to the eye, a few fractures can be found under the lens; none endangering durability, or the gem would not have survived cutting nor would it have been published here (life-long guarantee on breakage from us). The silky crystal gives the gem the emerald-only color intensity but does not allow a lively sparkle (inclusions in emeralds are like rain in London). Certified minor oiling only. Emeralds are, as everybody can tell you, the worst photo candidates in the gem world, either they explode in a chromium aura or look plain green. Yet, there is a reason that they have given a brand name to their type of green, it is very special and cannot be mistaken.
