Comment: The second opal (1.17) is not as color-playful as 1.22. However, what makes them a beautiful pair is the exact same body color with a 100% transparent crystal, a rare combination. DSEF classified both as crystal-, not fire-, opal with play-of-color though 1.17 has less thereof (making the pair a value-buy). While 1.22 is a green-flame-thrower, 1.17 is mildly shimmering along with added blue and red. Different, yet they make a charming pair IMHO. Both are untreated, come with two separate DSEF reports, are clean and clear, buy rainforest, fight for animal rights, and come home free of charge to where-ever you may want them to. Our first pair in opals, a challenge with play-of-color effect, even more, I imagine, with bolder opals or the many other specials waiting, where differences in shape will be unavoidable in pairs.
