Comment: Newly permitted into our stock: Oiled emeralds. (Please read here if you want to know why.) Close to two carats with potential partner in this matching pair here). Even alone, this vivid Sandawana green will make for a shockingly visible pendant at any distance, OK not any distance, but sure beyond the paparazzi line. As most of these queenly gems, especially in pear shape, they are not made to sparkle but to radiate color. Brilliancy we commonly add with a set of diamonds. The common grading rule 'lightly included = no eye-visible inclusions' and 'moderately included = inclusions visible without lens' stands a bit shaky here: The result depends on the brightness of the background. To be on the safe side, we graded this 1.92 as 'moderately included' though mostly you cannot see its inclusions without lens. DSEF report with 'minor oil', rich emerald green, full size and rather clean for the variety.
