Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Midnight marine-blue sapphire with extra big face but no window (thanks to the dark tone - MD 90). Rare emerald cut in sapphire. I did my best to catch the green-blue hue without pretending to show a merry blue sapphire. This is as dark as it gets before we go into black. In fact, this is the blue many heated stones show, only that this one is AGL certified unheated. Personally, I prefer a brighter blue (but I also like 'pink' rubies), yet I know that there is demand for this very darkest of all blues and that it is extremely rare in untreated corundum. No inclusions, even under the lens. Simple but flawless cutting (better than front images may suggest). A dainty for those who like their sapphires as dark as possible but not black, nor treated.
