Comment: Dark blue Australian Sapphire with the (for OZ) typical greenish undertone. While many from down-under are bi-colored and of brighter shades, even with yellow stripes, this 0.95 is the rare exception competing with fine blue Sri Lankan or African Sapphires. Different in color character, as I feel the images show, but equally fascinating in the magic space between day and night, like the sky or the open ocean in the last rays of sun, or the sky near the equator at full moon, not black, the blue so intense and yet so elusive. Utterly clean, even under the lens. IGI certified unheated, 'good color quality' and with origin confirmed. Hand-cut so perfectly that nothing could be improved by technology. As always, the little fuzzy hair shows you how merciless our images are, but it shall be removed. Fine quality, never cheap. Face up like a good 1.5 carat but no window.
