Comment: From old stock: Burmese ruby with that silky glowing vivid red which is originally called 'pigeon blood' though the term is a bit over-used. Anyway, this is THE colour. Local hand-cut, not terribly bad, but obviously not a CAD precision cut. No window though, take note, even with only 56% depth. This because the colour is so dense that the shallow centre is impregnable to light from behind. Double certified and full IGI report with origin. With near 8x6mm this one-carat ruby will fill a ring upto size seven or more with some diamonds to support it. Inclusions are visible only under the lens, and then only few and they are dark red (the inclusion images I made are 48 fold magnified). Do not wait too long. Some day soon all no-heat, eye-clean Burma rubies without major flaws over one carat will be 6 figures deep. This said not to scare you, but from pure altruism, because for us: the longer you wait the better. I can hear our critics on PS howl in anger but I'm serious. There is too much demand on far too little material and it is getting worse.
