Comment: Burmese ruby in designer shape, awaiting a unique setting (ask us for ideas). Double certified and IGI report with origin, twice unheated. With near 8x6mm face-up it 'shows' for a 1.5 or two carat gem, the remarkable attention grabbing shape aside. Inclusions are visible only under the lens, with darker red swirls adding glow. Never dark. Its neon character and the underlying fluorescence is obvious in the images. No window, no inclusions, no treatments. Flawless, unique hand-cut. Good luster. 3Nos quality in fine colored Burma ruby, it does not get better, only bigger though 8x6mm is good enough for even a pendant. Note, the shape could be used in three different positions with unique characters, from 'classic' to 'extravagant' settings (see images in different positions). To protect the corners in all settings, I would suggest a bezel, or V-shaped prongs covering the corners at a minimum. Such a legacy gem is probably not for daily wear (if so, lucky you). For cultivated dinner occasions three V-prongs will allow enough protection. Or keep it in the safe for future generations. Nothing will depreciate such a gem over time (other than white diamonds). Additional lab reports will take only time and some funds but reveal no surprises. This is the ultimate quality in fowl blood.
