Comment: The strong blue-ish hue in this ruby confirms (even without the accompanying GIA report) that you are looking at the rarest of all: An unheated, extra clean, Burma ruby. See additional images. The depth of only 49% gives you the face of a 2 carat gem but, thanks to the intense color, does not leave us with a window. Color-zones are not considered inclusions, and only one veil sits in the outer edge, the rest is free of inclusions. Never dark, never pink, little purple, no brown, always dripping red with that legendary addition of blue. GIA report with 'unheated Burma ruby'. See the detailed color zones in micro sliced growth lines under 'more images'. Not a flashy neon but the most sought-after hue in Burma ruby.
