Comment: Small but of noblest pedigree. IGI attested unheated Burma sapphire in rich sky blue with good luster, no window, and no inclusions, even under the lens. Soon such unheated sapphires, like equally rare colored diamonds, will be measured in points, and not carats. As this gem attests unheated sapphires of good quality, again like colored diamonds, merit full attention and detailed lab reports with all extras. Surrounded by a two-pointer diamond-halo this 4x3mm sapphire will honor any lady's ring up to a size six or seven. The handshot below shows more of the fine clean crystal than the rich sky color which the gem exhibits in other light settings such as the main image.
