Comment: While some GRS 'Pigeon Blood' rubies appeare too darkish for my taste, and thus did not make it here, this gem is just as stunning as one would expect from the most famous color and origin. This gem maintains a deep blood red even in the darkest light settings and explodes with color in the sun (no photo was possible in direct sun - the camera refused services). Very, very intense red. Individual handcut, flawless and with intense luster. In some light the eye may perceive a violet center area resulting from a set of violet layers (easily visible in our 36fold photos). This is a sign for true Burma rubies and no flaw but an honor. Hardly any inclusions visible even under the lens, almost 'free of inclusions', another ever rarer feature in this ultimate ruby quality.
