Comment: Burma star with perfect star and rare full color. As visible on the image this is a silky cornflower blue with a velvetish sheen – a coveted feature in star sapphire (and sapphire in general). See 'against-light' image for clarity and transparence (where, of course, color almost disappears). Just silky enough to produce a good star but basically transparent with full color: The ideal wished-for combination in the finest stars. Excuse laziness in not making a full set of our usual images (except handshot with color under artificial daylight with star and the see-through image in tweezers).
