Comment: This is the biggest untreated Ceylon padparadscha we have come across in the last years. A perfectly balanced mix of orange and pink, with no real dominance of either color but just the ideal equilibrium capturing the tender hue of the lotus flower. Ideal Pad-tone in Medium 50 (between 0=white and 100=black). The crystal glows and glimmers even in lowest light, while it shines and sparkles in full light. See handshots in low light with color and in more light with easy 80% brilliancy. Mobile color zones move orange and pink through the body while the actual color is well distributed. This is the famed Ceylon padparadscha in world-class size, never ostentatious but always tender colored and soft. Inclusions visible under the lens or a sharp eye up-close (no flaw in this size). We perfected the cut from a 7 carats original to the highest brilliancy and a perfect symmetry. No window, no dominant inclusions, no treatments (always ultra rare). Certified as 'unheated padparadscha' by Guebelin in Swiss (the ultimate temple of strict judgement) and 'unheated Ceylon padparadscha' by lesser known EMIL in Bangkok. Bigger is bulky and better is difficult. Of course in collector gemstones, there always is, or may be, a better one, but it might still roll as rough down a jungle stream in Ceylon, or cost treble, or is not for sale. Check fine cutting, colors and crystal clarity (see also Emil's list) in side and back images. Such a gem is the manifestation of limited and finite supply. 9x11mm will need a 6 or 7 in ringsize, but of course also suits a pendant for security conscious presentations.
