Comment: Here is the best of two worlds in one stone: dense ruby crystal with the neon power of a hot pink sapphire. Almost free of inclusions (lens and sharp eye only), a rarity in any corundum but especially in ruby. The swirling color zones (actually not real color- zoning but mobile changes in hue/tone) intensify its fire and move through the gem adding to its high brilliancy. No window, no inclusions, no treatments. 3Nos quality in a full sized ring stone with most intense hue. AIGS graded it as 'ruby' with primary pink and secondary red, a conscious choice for the rare color strength in a Ceylon gem. Local hand-cut, not 100% oval, visible only after close study and under the lens or on magnified photos. 7x5mm for a ring up to size 6. A high dome bezel and a halo would do this rare quality justice and be in character and then allow a size 8.
