Comment: Uncommonly long oval shape in this bright rose purplish-pink sapphire. The 83% is less a result of excessive depth than of a slender body (the opposite number would be 59%). Its tender hue is always visible, never whitish or only tinted white. Sitting on the back-surface is a tiny feather, theoretically not counting as an inclusion but visible under the lens, though not to the eye. The long shape invites a channel setting in a plain band, white or yellow gold. An IGI report attesting to its natural unheated quality is, as always with us, included in the price.
