Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: Octagonal emerald-cut in a cold sky-blue sapphire. The center gives a complete mirror reflection without window. No inclusions in a dense crystal, not silky but with that typical Ceylon sheen usually burned out of sapphire while turning the color to a conform dark blue. As the images show, the blue has a pastel character, snowy white on blue. Traditional hand-cut, symmetric but with an individual one-only shape. While 70 points is not large it gives over 6x4mm face-up for rings up to size 5, or 6 with halo. Evenly distributed Light 40 in tone with bright flashes from large facets. IGI reports 'unheated' and origin 'Sri Lanka,' a valued plus. 3Nos quality in affordable size but all uniqueness. Could be set elegantly with four prongs attaching to the small sides of the octagon.
