Comment: Purple blue sapphire with flowery character but razor-sharp cut. In this Sri Lankan sapphire, the 'purple' mentioned in the IGI report is more visible than in others, hence the classification as a 'lilac sapphire'. Great luster from a rare octagon scissor- or princess-cut in precision quality. Inclusions are visible only under the lens, and there some beautiful details can be discovered, as in the close-up below. Darker light settings produce lower tones, even dark sky blue; under full bright light, as in the handshot, it turns into a bright blue mirror with sparks and adamantine glitter. Though sub-one-carat, the gem is big enough to fill an elegant lady's ring, solitaire up to size five, with a halo up to size eight. A classic beauty for a classic jewel. Our 3*Nos are easily fulfilled: No eye-visible inclusions, no window, no treatments. IGI report with 'no heat' and origin 'Sri Lanka', free shipping, grading report, WLT and NhRP support plus all WildFish extras are included in our prices.
