Comment: Dark blue-green sapphire from Sri Lanka. Despite the tropical origin, hues and tone in green and blue remind of winter storms and rough northern oceans, Vikings and Normans. Obviously not a royal blue sapphire, not a jolly pink sparkly, nor a happy green sapphire, but a gemstone with a uniquely rugged character, a flawless cut, and no window, IGI attested with 'no treatments' and just over one carat. If your preferences are with nature's tempestuous off-colors, and if you prefer hikes on winter-beaches to the smell of sunblock, then have a closer look at this special gem. In a ring, every sighting will transfer you to your favorite winter walk and the harsh wind in your face.
