Comment: If you have collector-status with us, you know that an overall grade of 'excellent+' means the gem is outstanding beyond the normal 'perfect' of our finest gems. In this case, and if you are looking for a sapphire of such size and shape, or simply want to add another '+' to your collection, ignore the images, read no more, hit 'buy now' and take 25% off down to $1.875. For those who need explaining, this unheated brilliant sparkler is slightly color-zoned with one yellow patch, but otherwise is mainly white. We here do not 'count' zoning as a negative feature because this is one of the rare cases when zoning makes a gem prettier and more particular. As far as photos go, its exceptional fire overwhelms the camera in any front-position and leaves only the side- and back-images to show the canary-yellow zone in the outer rim (without green). Once set, preferable in a ring, you will need to insist that this is NOT a diamond (I don't know if they come color-zoned) but 'only' a sapphire. Our 'three nos': no inclusions, no treatments, no window (obviously) make for a fine gem but when you see this 6+mm of 'icy fire' (excuse the oxymoron) in person, then the reason for its '+' behind the excellent are immediately apparent. Have a look, and I take any honest side-bet there will be no returns.
