Overall Grade: Very Good

Comment: On the border between ruby and sapphire. Eitherway, strong color in any unheated corundum, but especially for a pink sapphire from Sri Lanka. Under full daylight turning more towards pink (although the camera cannot follow into bright light without distortion). Under low daylight, a mix of purple-pink and magenta is the best color describtion. BTW, you can see the brighter hue in the handshot where the band of luster sits. This is not color zoning but the area is sparkling with extra light and thus brighter in tone, leaning more towards pink than red. The image on the report shows it too far into the red. Inclusions are not visble to the eye. The long cushion shape will fill any lady's size ring. Big face with 8x5.6mm but no bad window with the center remaining fully colored. Would even fill a pendant. Lots of ruby quality in a purple-pink Ceylon sapphire.
